We specialise in the welding and prefabrication of pipework, bespoke skid units and containerised boiler plant. Utilising our large workshop’s based in Selby, North Yorkshire.
Our team can visit any site in the UK and produce drawings and detailed designs from measurements collected while onsite. From these measurements we can produce 2D, 3D and isometric plans for our fabrication team to build at our workshop.
All pipework is welded to meet Frogmech Ltd weld procedures. Covering a large range of materials and processes. Including Ferrous metal like low carbon steel and alloys such as stainless steel, Aluminium and Titanium. We have two workshops to ensure segregation between ferrous and all alloys while manufacturing. We use a range of welding processes MIG, MMA and TIG.
All Prefabricated items are tested, flushed and painted if required. All pipework spools are wrapped and open ends, closed and fully protected prior to shipment.
Delivery of all pre-fabrication can be organised by us with Hiab offload when required, we can also arrange crane lifts to position larger items on site. Our on-site installation teams will then take over to install and connect prefabricated items to your existing / new systems.
Working in this way can minimise on-site works, reducing any potential risks, such as hot works and moving heavy items around busy sites. It ensures all fabrications are completed to the highest standards within a controlled environment within our workshop.

Pipework welding services (coded)
Pipework welding is one of the key services Frogmech ltd provides to its customers. Our welding engineers are multi skilled in both pipefitting and welding which ensure pipework is correctly prepared and installed before it’s welded. Our engineers are knowledgeable in the 3 main welding processes, including MMA (manual metal arc), MIG (metal inert gas) and TIG (tungsten inert gas). Which means we can weld any material in various different ways. Although we don’t hold pipework welding codings for every process our engineers will perform tests to ensure they are fit to work on any project that customers require. We currently hold codings for MMA welding of pipework (cert attached)
On our larger installations we fabricate and weld all our own supporting frameworks and bracketery. For supporting appliances, fuel stores and pipework. These can be fabricated with various ferrous and non ferrous metals to suit their application.
Off site welding / fabrication
At our purpose built workshop we have the capability to fabricate and weld pipework sections, structural supports, bracketery and low loss headers. These can be made from pre- determined measurements collected from quotation visit or supplied CAD drawings. All pipework is pressure tested and painted before been delivered to site. This can sometimes be a great alternative when there are restricted working areas or health and safety risks to public or employees.
On site welding / fabrication
We can perform welding and fabrication onsite, often if there is room within the working area where will set up our machinery and screens. Sometimes we are restricted on space so will liaise with the client to find an area to set up temporary sheltered welding work area. We can provide dedicated power to our welding equipment our use our independent generator welders. The areas are fully fenced and screened off to avoid any access to unauthorised personnel. We follow our strict risk assessment and method statements and can provide daily hot works permits.

What our clients say
My association with Lawrence Walsh is through works carried out on this site by a previous company and his position of Site Forman for the works. Over the period, of several years now, I have known him and through his employment with the previous company, he has managed several important projects for the University.
Having worked alongside Lawrence Walsh (FROGMECH ltd) for nearly 4 years now on various projects including plumbing heating, welding, gas works and fabrication jobs, I know he is one of the best there is in this line of work. His finished products are always to the highest of standard and quality and his adaptable approach to all tasks no matter how challenging is always second to none
I used Frogmech over the last couple of years whilst doing a full refurb of my house , I had a new boiler and full central heating system fitted from scratch , Lawrence worked around my new floor plans to fit all pipe work and radiators to suit it was a great job, I then had upstairs and ground bathrooms bother fully fitted with ideas from Lawrence, with new toilets ,sinks ,showers and shower tray downstairs, also a bath upstairs , then shower screens and finally finished with tiles.
