Business Need
Over the past few years Frogmech Ltd have conducted many different phases of work to gradually improve and upgrade the extremely dated heating system within the museum.
The museum holds huge collections of ancient and priceless objects which are stored and displayed in sensitive areas. All the works we have undertaken are carefully planned and managed to ensure minimum disruption to any collections and the public.
Our Role
The first phase of works was to replace one of the central heating boilers as existing boiler had failed and was beyond repair. At this point we were asked to install a new boiler giving careful consideration to the whole boiler room being replaced at a future date. We made detailed plans for the future boiler room replacement and specified the new boiler to fit in with this.
We have also replaced heavily corroded and leaking pipework throughout the museum and Installed a new heating header tank on the roof of the building to supply the new heating system.We had to ensure that the heating system was fully operational again after each phase of work as the museum was open to the public throughout.
The Outcome
All these phases of work now are now completed in preparation for the new boiler room which we have been asked to install in summer 2019.
